Sally Iwata

BIOGRAPHY:
Sally moved to Ojai in 1966 with her family, establishing the
Iwata Garden Center.  During her 35 years she has served the community by leading several youth-oriented initiatives such as building the Ojai Community Center, renovating Nordhoff Pool, bringing noted children's
literacy authority, Jim Trelease to Ojai, participating in Rolling Readers, and most recently establishing the Topa Topa Playhouse.
PROGRAM:
Music is a universal language that bridges cultures and communities. Exposing our Valley's youth to performing arts provides them an opportunity to enjoy the arts, work as a team and build self-confidence.  Topa Topa
Playhouse offers music, choreography, performance and public speaking skills.
This program is presented to students at Topa Topa in grades 4-6.
